    Până să ajung acolo, trebuie să recunosc că nu mai auzisem de Bamberg. De fapt, nu am mai auzit de niciunul dintre oraşele şi satele în care am fost pe parcursul celor 10 zile petrecute în aprilie în Germania. Cu toate că este un orăşel mic, de care nu cred că multă lume a auzit, Bamberg este alături de Veneţia şi încă alte două oraşe din Europa parte din patriomniul cultural UNESCO. De asemenea, Bamberg este cunoscut pentru berea care este produsă aici. Domul din Bamberg este monumentul reprezentativ pentru orasul Bamberg. Catedrala a fost construită iniţial în sec.
